Kindergarden

This kindergarden complex is at Kolbe Ashram in State of Kerala - INDIA. Fr. Xerri adopts all these children by means of benefactors paying Lm20 every year for schooling and by renumerating nuns who run the same school.

These are the major projects that the Franciscan Conventuals community manage in the south of India. The Maltese Friars were the major promotors of the projects however nowadays a lot ofthese porjects are managed by locals.

Hut Homes

Housing

FMO provides assistance to poor families by mobilizing families from huts (see top left photo) to small brick houses (see below left photo) . With the financial aid of Maltese and Gozitan benefactors, FMO has already build 500 of these brick homes

St. Paul's Clinic

Near the school of Kolbe Ashram, a clinic was built for the local poor families. Some native doctors provide free medical assistance especially to sick people. This clinic was made possible with the financial aid of the Parish of St. Paul's Bay in Malta.

Houses for Spiritual Formation

The Franciscan Conventual community takes care for the spiritual formation of youths who can be future members within the Franciscan community.

The Minor Seminary in Nirmalaram - Chotty, houses 65 youths, 13 are pre-novices in Nattakkal, 6 youths in Puthencira.

A Major Seminary (see left photo) houses 53 futre-to-be priets. In the meantime the Franciscan Conventual community has already 35 native priets.

Leper Community

In Andhra Pradesh state in Donapudi, there is a 30 leper colony both men and women. Fr. Xerri takes care of them by feeding them and providing shelter.

The latest project has been the running water system installed to the leper community.

FMO provides assistance to the local children by giving free tuition administered by local nuns.

This project is always made possible with the kind generosity of MAltese and Gozitan benefactors.

	Snehalaya - House of Love
	In the outskirts town of Rottikaundanur, the Franciscans Conventuals have a convent. Near this convent a new hospital has been built to house patients afflicted with the deadly disease of Aids. The hospital complex comprises of five blocks of buildings. The first block has already been completed and the next 4 blocks are being built. Four friars has already been trained to work with the patients. This house provides comfort and peace tothe patients who seem to be on death row due to the illness. Snehalaya is the place where these patients can depart this life with dignity, respect and love.
